Phys Ed (Camp Champs) Tuesday July 23, 2013

Teamwork Tuesday

An incredibly busy day today!  Campers participated in a wide variety of teamwork challenges.  Pictured below are some of the groups in action.

Group C:  Jump thru the Rope (continuous jumps in and out without a miss)

All day Phys Ed campers (the Warriors) doing Lacrosse Toss

Group D: Bead Stringing Pattern Challenge (tests their communication and listening skills)

Spotting of an eastern goldfinch (our NJ state bird) at snack time.  See if you can find it?  Look for the tiny yellow spot at the top left of this photo....it's next to the purple bloom on the bush.  Did our best to snap his photo, but he was really quick.

Groups C and D played a game of "Lava" where they had to work together to cross an area using only small pieces of cardboard, if they fell, or touched the "lava" they lost a piece of cardboard.  Everyone had a GREAT time working together to complete this task!

Royal Fever:
Group A:  our youngest campers, participated in a "POP -UP-SHOW n TELL" session.  They are always eager to share their treasures to the group.  Well one thing led to the next and all of a sudden we find ourselves taking a poll as to what will be selected for the Royal Baby's name.
According to Group A, JAMES was the overall favorite with 11 votes, followed by George with 4 votes, and Alexander with 2 votes.  We can't wait to see what happens!
